Have you ever watched a movie full of human actors and thought to yourself, “Man, I wish some of these people were Muppets.”
It’s understandable — Muppets add an extra layer of fun and intrigue to everything. And if you haven’t yet yearned for actors to be replaced by comedic puppets, you most certainly will after reading this article.
On Friday, a thought-provoking tweet from @BeerBottleBlond sparked a very important Muppets discussion. The tweet encouraged people to pick a movie, choose one actor from that movie to keep, and imagine the rest of the actors played by Muppets. It’s a simple task, but the results were hilarious.
Pick a movie.
Keep one actor.
The rest are played by muppets.

It wasn’t long before people began to thread their most innovative Muppet casting choices and suggest movies like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Matrix, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and more.
Captain America Winter Soldier
Keep: Chris Evans
The elevator fight

“The Matrix”, keep Hugo Weaving.
I know Keanu Reeves is amazing and seems like the obvious choice to keep, but the scene where Agent Smith rants about how much he hates humans makes me think how great an antagonist he would be opposite muppets.

Beaker as Snoke tho.
“She is strong with the Force…untrained but stronger than she knows!”
“Meep meeeeeeep. Meep meep.”

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.” pic.twitter.com/PasGud7gzo

Someone even suggested a remake of Grosse Pointe Blank starring John Cusack and a bunch of Muppets, to which Cusack himself replied, “I’d like to play a muppet actually.”
And, of course, no movie could benefit more from a Muppet than Marriage Story.
The Muppet movie replacement possibilities are endless, but when you think about it, there’s really no wrong reply to this prompt.
After you admire the glorious thread, we encourage you to take a minimum of five minutes today to think about your own ideal Muppet cast.
